I am 63 years old, and I transitioned roughly seven years ago. I am a late bloomer. It seems like a midlife crisis to some on the outside maybe, and I was in a crisis all my life when I needed to really be myself. Due to becoming myself, I have been able to focus more on self-care and also my career. I used to be on Wall Street for decades! Now I teach and have been in over 30 local television shows and movies as an extra. I like acting because it’s a form of expression. It’s always been a medium used to share ideas and tell stories. It’s so important that our stories are told, but media and film also give our stories longevity. Sometimes history can get lost, but stories on film tend to have more longevity.
