"Both my parents are engineers -- well, my mom’s a counselor now, but they both are also engineers. I wanted to be an engineer too but I am awful at math. I am in the restaurant industry now because I want to be a chef or own a restaurant one day. I am happy about that but I’d say my dad has made me the happiest recently. He’s called me and sent me postcards. I really like postcards. I’ve got a postcard collection. My dad is a business consultant now but he used to also be a traveling salesman, so postcards have kind of become my thing because of him. I really do love postcards though. They are so unique and also beautiful little pieces of art. I have a postcard from every place my dad has ever been. He’s been to almost… every continent and he’s been to most countries in Europe. He’s been to every state in the United States. He’s been to Canada. Actually, I don’t think he’s been to Australia. But he’s been to the Philippines, he’s been to Thailand. He went to India in the last year. So pretty much everywhere. Traveling is fun. We traveled a lot in the state, so that’s refreshing rather than just sitting still."
